On 15th August, 1947 India made her 'Tryst with Destiny'. On this day, the 200- year old British regime on Indian soil came to an end. It is the most significant day in the history of India and celebrated every year with great enthusiasm by the Indian people.
Like the other festivities scorpions are ready for this special day.The whole office was decorated with lots of tricolor balloons,frills & flags which evoked the patriotic feeling in all of us. On this occasion it was mandatory for all to wear traditional dress in Tri Color.The participation was in full and the feeling of patriotism could be seen in one and all.
The event started with all of us singing our National Anthem & after that cake ceremony was followed by a special Quiz based on the Independence Day. Miss Mandeep and Miss Shilpa was selected as team leads.It got a very hearting response.Many tried and failed but yet continued trying in hope to win .Both teams deserved to be the winner of the evening as both scored equally. No event is complete without some refreshments And to keep this tradition alive, there was a snacks party which everybody enjoyed a lot.
We wrapped up the day with plenty of sweet memories that is to bring smiles for many more days.
